Leo Babauta's Guide to Meditation
I often encourage my clients who feel stressed, rushed or anxious to try taking a few minutes each day and simply breathe. This isn't always easy and I understand that. Life is busy, you are busy - how can you "meditate" when the kids are being so loud? When you're in the middle of the work day? When dinner needs to be made, the house needs to be cleaned, bills need to be paid?
Getting into the practice of daily breathing/reflection/meditation, whatever you want to call it, takes time. Fortunately Leo Babauta from the blog Zen Habits has a really wonderful guide to help you get started.
Check it out here. Try it. Read it other Zen Habits articles. Repeat.
