I once read that Colonel Chris Hadfield (y'know that astronaut) wasn't afraid of dying on his space missions because everything is accounted for. He said they train for EVERY possible problem and whatever happens outside of that, is, well, out of his control. But what really gives him peace of mind is that he has his will updated before he leaves Earth every time. Knowing that he has all the loose ends tied up puts him at ease.
We've added finalizing and updating our wills to our New Year's to-do list. Because now that we're grown ups, with kids, and assets and yada yada yada, we realize how important it is to have this stuff taken care of just in case anything happens.
